TATENDA EARLY LEARNING TRUST SCHOOL

This is a school in Zambia started by a Christian woman with a big heart to help orphans and other vulnerable children receive an education. As it has become necessary to move out of the present school, funds have been required to build a new school on a nearby plot of land. Although the whole sum has not been raised, enough has been found to start the work and keep the school open.

‘In our last letter we had asked for backers for a large loan for the building of the new school. Unfortunately we did not receive enough backers but we were able to secure an interest free loan to build the first block, (leaving four blocks still to be funded) and set up two self-help projects that should bring in finances to support the day to day running of the school.

The first project is using part of the plot for a safe car parking area that could be started straight away and the other is to accommodate university students in the old school when vacant.’
